Connect an AI Client

Point Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or any MCP-compatible client at your Penfolio workspace.

This URL is unique to your Penfolio installation. Each connection requires OAuth sign-in — the assistant only ever acts as you, with access scoped to your own records.

Connect Claude

  1. 1Open Claude and go to your profile menu.
  2. 2Navigate to Settings → Connectors.
  3. 3Click "Add custom connector".
  4. 4Name it (e.g. "Penfolio Studio") and paste the server URL below.
  5. 5Click Add. Claude will open the consent page in your browser.
  6. 6Sign in with your Penfolio account and approve access.

After connecting:

  • The assistant can read your catalog, series intelligence, and production data.
  • Manuscripts, financial data, and private files are not exposed by default.
  • Write and delete operations are not available through MCP.

Refresh the connector in your AI client after we ship changes to the tool set — assistants cache the tool list and may need a reload to pick up updates.
